The Covers I've Commissioned
We’ve had some discussion of AI art for covers.
I used it early on out of ignorance and necessity. I will, personally, give authors the benefit of the doubt and assume that they, like I used it for the art but not the writing.
I recognize that not everyone will do so.
I am currently, as time and budget allow, replacing my AI art work with human created art. It’s not quick and it’s not free, so it’s stressful in both ways.

Below is a gallery of the covers I have commissioned. All but Never, Mind! are by art doot - Jean. The Never, Mind! cover was created by Zoe at Fiverr. The style is not quite what the rest of my covers are going for, but it’s still very nice.
There’s more on the way. art doot - Jean is currently working on three of my covers to replace those AI images with his beautiful, painterly style and when that’s done, we’ll be working on more.
I will never vilify someone for using AI art to streamline the process and save their budget. I did it myself and I understand why someone would.
The issue, for me, is one of practicality. If it’s true that people assume AI art on the cover equals AI writing within, that’s just not something I can live with.
I write every word. Having the cover art sabotage that is just not acceptable.
I’m fortunate to have found an artist who can deliver my vision. I’ve worked with several and it’s not always that smooth, believe me.
